Weddings

Pauline & John, Westerwood Hotel, April 2022

Your big day!

Weddings are, without question, my favorite event! As a photographer I love being a part of such an important event, meeting all the people who are part of your story and capturing the day for you to share for years to come.

I mainly use a candid style of photography, this means that you don’t need to spend hours posing awkwardly, my favorite pictures (and those of my couples) are often when no one is looking at the camera and they don’t even realise I’m there!

Whats included

I offer packages and fixed price options, but all weddings include the following:

  • Public Liability Insurance

  • Venue visit

  • Online gallery

  • Full editing service

  • Option to spread payments at no additional cost

  • Reserve the date for 20% - this not only secures your date but also protects you against any price changes.

In addition all packages include:

  • Flexible timings

Weddings usually run behind schedule so all of the packages are worked out using key moments (bridal prep, the ceremony, the speeches, first dance etc) rather than a set amount of time.

  • Multiple venues

No additional charge for bridal prep/ceremony/reception in different venues

  • Customizable packages

All of the packages include the option to upgrade your Album, add on other items such as prints or just purchase the digital images only.

The timing can also be adjusted to suit your plans (If you don’t want pictures on the bride getting ready, you could have more coverage of the evening reception instead)

  • No hidden costs

Travel throughout Loch Lomond, Greater Glasgow, Renfrewshire, East and West Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and Falkirk is included at no additional cost.

Delivery of all items including Albums, prints, framed items and digital is included free of charge.

What happens next

Contact us to check the availability, we can then arrange to meet either face to face or over skpe and discuss the plans for your day.

At this stage a contract will be supplied confirming your booking and your deposit of 20% will also be due. (the balance is due by your wedding day)

On the big day!

If you are having pictures taken beforehand we will agree a suitable time (usually to coincide with the hair and make up appointments) and will capture all of the excitement of pre wedding preparations!

During the ceremony (celebrant permitting) I will get the best variety of pictures you venue will allow. Many couples now choose to have a hand fastening ceremony, a sand pouring or a even a quaich and they can all be photographed in different ways to tell your story.

After the ceremony you may wish to have pictures taken outside, at the reception or at an entirely separate venue such as a park or gardens. This is extremely popular and there is no additional charge however you may wish to consider a few things:

  • Transport (especially if you wish to include other guests)

  • Footwear (it’s usually a good idea to have a second pair of flat shoes!)

  • Licenses and permission - some councils require a license for wedding photography especially for popular locations ie the botanical gardens in Glasgow. We are happy to check and help with any paperwork if necessary.

During the remainder of the reception you may wish to have group pictures or just informal images of your guests. We will discuss your particular requirements at your first meeting but if you have any particular requests, just ask.

Some couples very kindly ask their photographer to join them for dinner and it is always an honor, but if you don’t have space, please don’t worry! A cup of tea and something to eat at the bar is equally welcome! I don’t like taking pictures while people are eating but during the speeches I make a point of getting all the action!

Most couples will cut their cake before the meal or during the evening reception. Some do both! It really doesn’t matter, just let me know what you decide!

The evening reception is always a huge highlight, it might be a Ceilidh, a disco or a live band. most weddings will have a first dance and if you are having any extras such as father daughter/mother son dances or even a bouquet toss, just let me know in advance and I will make sure we get them!

But if you are planning something a bit different, don’t worry! I love the traditions and customs of a wedding, but if your day is going to be a bit different it’s even better! Just let me know your plans or special requests and I can do the rest!
